The Church Lawton School utilised Paula Davies considerable proof-reading expertise. Following a recent change to our Academy Status, our rebranding mean that references and contact details were evident through some fifty plus policy and procedural documents. The documents had all been developed over several years and had lost a sense of presentation and brand imagery. Paula was able to reformat and proofread the entire document collection.
Communication with Paula was excellent throughout the transition, and we have benefitted from her skills and expertise. Paula was also able to make suggested improvement to both content and layout of the documentation. Paula provided all documentation with tracked changes.

Paula Davies is the most exceptional project manager and editor with whom I have worked. She guided me and two other editors in chief as we supervised one of the major educational projects pursued by any publisher - the International Encyclopedia of Education. She was always accessible and ready to problem solve any concerns that arose at the same time as she supported over 850 global scholars as they contributed chapters to the project. She ensured some 14 volumes with 850 + entries were completed on time and to the highest standards of scholarship and professionalism. Without her skills, energy, dedication and demeanor the project would have languished. And she was always personable and supportive - a pleasure with whom to work on a project that could have been overwhelming.

In my academic career spanning more than four decades, I have never encountered anyone with such a comprehensive range of skills as Paula possesses. She is an outstanding project manager, an especially good editor, and an exceptionally patient and supportive colleague. Outstanding are the ways in which she supports authors from a wide variety of disciplinary and cultural backgrounds from around the world to produce their best possible work. Not only her technical but also her communication and interpersonal skills are second to none. Without Paula Davies, a monumental international publishing effort—Elsevier’s International Encyclopedia of Education, 4th Edition—would not have been possible. Grateful does not begin to describe my appreciation, as one of three executive editors of this encyclopedia, for Paula’s contributions. Paula served as an editor and project manager, working always congenially and professionally with hundreds of authors. These scholars represented cultures that span the globe and had academic specializations across the full spectrum of topics in the field of education. Moreover, Paula deftly collaborated with a dynamic and demanding editorial board—a success that tapped her seemingly endless patience as well as her superb and proactive communication skills. The output of this undertaking was a collection of more than 850 encyclopedia chapters in 14 volumes, providing comprehensive reviews of the state of research, theory, and practice in education. Paula’s skill and expertise in managing a project of this size ensured that it was produced to the level of quality and consistency that it deserved.
