About me
I have taught English, history, drama and economics at secondary level and ESL to groups in the UK and Tanzania. After teaching for 9 years I retrained as a youth worker and led a range of projects in rural Oxfordshire, urban London and in coastal communities in New Zealand.
For the past 7 years I have been a content project manager of major reference works and have liaised extensively with authors and editors to publish multi-volume academic books.
I hold a Diploma in Publishing from Whitirea (formerly Whitirea Community Polytechnic), New Zealand
and have extensive experience editing and proofreading copy for academic publications, schools and youth settings.
I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and abide by its Code of Practice: ensuring editorial excellence.
I am also a qualified SCUBA instructor.
